USB Light-sensitive LED Mosquito Killer Lamp
Here in Holland, the summer is coming. With this weather, I have my sliding doors to the garden open most of the time. But when going inside at night I have intruders. Flies and mosquitos. So I ordered the USB Light-sensitive LED Mosquito Killer Lamp at GearBest, read further and check if it does the job.

Expectations
Before I ordered I knew that the product is not catching flies. Only mosquitos are attracted to the light. The product is cheap enough to have it in my office and also one for my bedroom. Everything for a good work and sleep time. 😉 But before I order another one, let’s find out if it is worth the money.
Test
I will use this device for some days and will not use it beside my bed, because of the fan noise. It’s not loud on the slowest speed but too loud for me to sleep next to it.

Features
A Led light to attract mosquitoes and a fan that sucks them inside.
With a button, you can change the fan speed.
And with the strap, the device is easily moving it to another room.
Build Quality & Design
It’s a plastic device with a minimalistic design. Because of the black plastic with a leather strap, it looks like a portable speaker. 🙂
Noise
On the slowest speed you almost don’t notice it but on full speed, you hear that a fan is doing his job.
Portability / Mobility & Usability
You can move this device easily because of the strap and the minimal weight.
Also cleaning is very simple by removing the plate underneath.
pro / cons
pros
- Cheap
- Good battery
- Is cat and child-friendly no electrical shocks or chemicals are used.
cons
- Looks like a speaker (but don’t know yet if that is a pro or a con)
- The device doesn’t give an electrical shock.
- Sucking power is not that much. So mosquito’s must fly really close.
Verdict
During my test period, I caught one mosquito with the USB Light-sensitive LED Mosquito Killer Lamp. But that is not the fault of the device but the fact there are no more mosquitos 🙂
For the price, you can buy the product, but not if you want to use it in your bedroom and sleep next to it.
My mosquito killer with electrical shock works better I think, but can’t really prove.
