The best Oclean W1 water flosser review

I already own a Philips water flosser (also called oral irrigator) and A Oclean toothbrush. But because I really prefer the Oclean toothbrush above the Philips, I just had to try out the Oclean W1 water flosser! This is the Most recent product of the Oclean series that combines water and air for cleaning. Is the Oclean W1 water flosser/ Oclean W1 oral irrigator worth the money? Is it better then my Philips water flosser? Let’s find out!

Expectations of the Oclean W1

Because I already own the Ocean Z1 my expectations are high. And because Oclean is a brand related product to Xiaomi Youpin, Oclean has an advantage.

Build Quality & Design

The Water flosser has an minimalistic design, typical Apple or Xiaomi. The structure feels nice and the balance when standing straight is good. The Oclean w1 is available in White and Black.
I found one thing that could be improved: you have to lose the water tank to fill it(the opening is smaller than my bathroom faucet). Not a deal breaker but a minimal improvement can be made when Oclean released the w2 ;).

Portability / Mobility

The top part can be removed and the parts including the cable can be put away in the included travel case. It’s very nice that Oclean decided to include a case. The weight is 159 grams, which is very light.

Usability

The smart water flosser from Oclean supports the combination scheme of dental floss mode, gentle mode, gum massage mode and 6 more modes in the app to fulfill different demands. One of the best options I found the burst mode very handy.
Another handy fact is that charging can be done with a magnetic cable, a USB cable. This is very useful when you are on the road, then you probably already have a USB charger with you. The cable is not very long, that is not always very handy. But the battery is charged within 3 hours and can hold it up to 30 days (when you use it max 2 minutes every day).

Oclean vs Philips oral irrigator

I have them both and prefer my new Oclean. Why? several reasons:

• Better price
• Nicer design
• Bluetooth app support
• Usb charger

There is one thing that’s easier with the Philips water flosser and that’s filling the water tank. But the tank of the Oclean is a little bit bigger and Oclean uses less water I think. OCLEAN W1 Wins the battle!

Oclean is App compatible but what about Home automation?

We know xiaomi bluetooth devices like scales that can be integrated through ESPHome or addons from the community, we hope and think it is a matter of time that somebody integrate the Oclean W1 into Home Assistant.
