Expectations of the Smart Rolling Cat Ball
When looking to the design I thought this thing will stuck at several objects in the living room. But it rolls away from the problems and the little tail help to change direction. It never stucked into my cables of other objects.

Test
Syncing the ball with the telephone was easy and works well, but my mi-home is in china-mainland because of my other Xiaomi products I use, Therefor I het 3 buttons that are not translated well.
The ball rolls 1,5 meter and then turns around using the tail. It can’t hurt a cat but when you have hard floors the noice can be irritation after a while.
Build Quality & Design
The built quality is good and everything feels solid. The tail is not flexible and the small ball at the end of the tail can be opened easy (by human). The choise for using USB-C instead of the cheaper micro USB is a great one this time.
Home automation compatible?
It’s uses Bluetooth for the communication with the mi-home app. But I haven’t found a way to include it into home-assistant. I enable the toy by hand and do not use my phone to control.
Verdict
It’s a week and week I enable the rolling ball, my cat is activated immediately.
